HENRY THROUP TWO WINDHILL MEN Lost in North Sea Battle Two WIndhill men lost their lives in the North Sea Battle. Seaman Gunner Harry Throup, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Throup, of 10. Shaftesbury Avenue, Windhill, was on the Indefatigable, and official news has been received of his death. He was in his twenty-first year and had been in the Navy close upon four years. He was well known in Keighley, and as a boy attended the Holy Croft Council School. He was also a scholar of the Lund Park Wesleyan Sunday School. |
