Hilton Thomas IDLE YOUTH ON THE "BLACK PRINCE". Hilton Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thomas, of Greenfield Place, Bradford Road, Idle, was on the "Black Prince" which was sunk in the big North Sea battle and information of his death has been received from the War Office. Hilton only joined the Navy in October, but he took to the work of a sailor as a duck to water, and after a couple of months training he became a member of the crew of the "Black Prince". Previous to the joining the forces he was a baker. |
