CHARLES STIRRUP STOKER STIRRUP. "First-class" At His Trade On The Indegfatigable. First-Class Stoker Charles Stirrup, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stirrup, 400, Knutsford-road, was serving on H.M.S. Indefatigable. Stoker Stirrup would have been 22 years of age to-day (Saturday), and joined the Navy in 1913. He had been previously employed as a moulder by Messrs. Richmond and Co., and Messrs. Fletcher, Russell and Co. He was educated at St. Mary's R.C. School, and was fond of both swimming and football, having played the latter game in the local Works Competition. |
