H.M.S. DEFENCE.
DEATH OF LIEUT. RENSHAW.
Mr. John Baxter, of Burwood, has Just received a cable to the effect that Lieutenant George Robinson Renshaw, to whom, some months ago, his youngest daughter, Kathleen, was married, was amongst those killed on H.M.S. Defence, of the first cruiser squadron, in the late naval battle, Lieutenant Renshaw spent some time In Sydney. He was an excellent officer and a general favorite.

GOULBURN. Tuesday.— Amongst those who lost their lives in the recent naval action was Commander Silvertop, of the armoured cruiser Defence, who was married to a sister of Mr. A. A. Dalglish, of Pomeroy, near Goulburn. He had never visited Australia. Mr. Dalglish received a cable message conveying the news of Commander Silvertop's death.
