YOUNG LIVERPOOL SAILOR
First-class Stoker Thomas McKevitt, who formerly resided with his aunt, Mrs. Clarke, at 89 Lambeth-road, Kirkdale, Liverpool, lost his life on H.M.S. Black Prince. He was only 17 years of age. He was educated at Our Lady's Schools Eldon-street, and St Bridget's, Bevington hill. He was formerly im the employ of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company, and on the outbreak of hostilities he joined the army, but was discharged upon his real age being discovered.Subsequently, he entered the navy, and upon the completion of his training was transferred to H.M.S. Black Prince.
