The service record of Mitchell, Edward shows that the rating was on either HMS Sheldrake or HMS Mandate
over the period 21 April 1914 to 17 August 1917.
Several other ratings joined HMS Mandate, from HMS Sheldrake on 18 August 1915 leaving the ship on 17 August 1917.
Therefore, it is likely that Mitchell, Edward was on HMS Mandate at the Battle of Jutland.
