"Jimmy Bridges went on to become a submariner and after being invited to return to the navy for WW2, served a total of 26 years in the navy. He received the British Empire Medal (military) at Buckingham Palace on VE day.

He would be chuffed that after so many years that such an interest still exists. He was committed to the memory of fellow sailors and submariners and would have supported everything you are doing. "
