STOKER J. BOLTON "Alive And Kicking" And May Be Home Shortly. Stoker John Bolton, who, having no parents, makes his home with Mr. and Mrs. R. Green, 103, Oldham-street, was on the Warrior at the time of the naval battle, and is quite safe. He has written the following to Mrs. Green: - :Just a few lines to cheer you up, as I suppose you have heard about the Warrior. I am alive and kicking. I might be home shortly." Stoker Bolton, who is 22 years of age, has been in the Navy for about five years. He was pre- viously employed as a moulder by Messrs. Richmond's at their Grappenhall premises. He was educated at St. Mary's School, Latchford. He was over on leave about six weeks ago, when he was in the best of health and spirits. His brother, Harry, has been wounded whilst serving with the Lancashire Fusiliers, and is now re- cuperating in England. |
